Green stage, from data to action: live music transition and the Firenze Rocks case
Live music is entering a new phase of sustainability: moving from isolated green practices to shared metrics, measurable impact and systemic change. Drawing on the 2026 Music Innovation Hub–AssoConcerti research on the Italian live sector, a gap emerges between growing sustainability ambitions and the tools, skills and infrastructure needed to turn them into practice. From the Firenze Rocks pilot case, produced by Green Nation and Nozze di Figaro, including innovative monitoring practice developed by JustOnEarth, to GreenBeat Nexus’ European programme for research, capacity building and green innovation. These initiatives highlight improving systems for promoters, venues, institutions and technology partners to develop common standards and scale effective solutions. What should the live sector measure, who should be accountable, and how can today’s experiments become tomorrow’s industry standard?
