Tess Kendall

Tess Kendall has 25 years working in the music industry, always working in the independent sector. Starting out at Glastonbury, she then went to work in the events department and touring the world and organising festivals for the Ministry of Sound. She went on to set up and run Defected Records’ award winning events business for 6 years, with summer residencies in Ibiza and over 300 other events per year. Tess then moved to Berlin to work for !K7, managing artists such as Tricky, Hercules and Love Affair and 10 piece ensemble Brandt Brauer Frick. Tess has been at Ninja Tune records for 12 years, she manages a marketing team of 20 who coordinate innovative and dynamic release campaigns for the label roster. She also works directly on global album campaigns for artists such as Bicep, Black Country, New Road, Barry Can’t Swim and Young Fathers.
