Balkis Guetta is a filmmaker, a programmer and a DJ among the SoundSisters Morocco collective based in Marrakech. An only women dj collective who plays and gives free workshops in Morocco and abroads.
Of North African descent, she aspires to build bridges of communication between Africa and its diaspora. She has worked at the main multidisciplinary art center LE 18 Marrakech and co-founded "Film w Glissa" film festival which aims to promote emerging and independent filmmakers from the so called "Global South".
