Joe Allotta’s solo project (drummer, composer, and singer) stems from his need to express his artistic vision, shaped through years of experience working as a session drummer for artists such as Davide Shorty, Funk Shui Project, Mario Biondi, Nick The Nightfly, Leburn Maddox, Amy True, and more.
His compositions reflect a desire to make contemporary jazz, in all its forms and influences, accessible to the widest possible audience—without sacrificing the impact of an engaging and compelling live performance.
In his music, Joe Allotta blends contemporary jazz with hip hop, funk, and drum’n’bass, taking a melodic approach to the drums, which play a central role in his compositions. The result is a dynamic, cross-genre sound that breaks down barriers between musical styles.
In 2024, he released his first two solo EPs, Me vs Me Vol.1 and Vol.2, followed in 2025 by his debut LP Transition, produced by Jacopo Trapani and released through Sghetto Records.
