Lembrete is a Portuguese-language Bossa Nova Saudade duo, deeply influenced by Brazilian tradition, the place where the singer spent her childhood. The project came about spontaneously, born from an instinctive desire to make music as a hobby; it is a collection of songs written from 2023 to the present, telling stories of everyday experiences, from landscapes seen to emotions felt in specific moments and contexts, all linked by the common thread of memory.
“Lembrete,” in fact, means “memo” or “reminder,” and this is precisely the duo’s motivation: to write songs that capture the moment like a photograph, but with the carefree spirit of a game, like when you drew a picture in elementary school without really knowing what it was.
Writing in Brazilian Portuguese helps listeners lose themselves in the almost entirely analog sounds of the instruments and objects played during jams, characterized by a sonic style that blends MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) with more electronic or alternative genres, such as dreampop, slowcore, and a touch of slacker rock.
