The Curatorship for Live Music Events course delves into the core dynamics of organising, designing, and curating live events, integrating creativity with strategic management and case studies. It explores the vital role of community engagement and its transition towards sustainability in response to climate change. The course also examines balancing innovation and authenticity in an AI and digitally-driven world. Equip yourself with the skills needed to create impactful and memorable experiences that resonate with audiences and foster positive change.
Course Modules:
LIVE EVENT DESIGN AND CURATION:
This module explores the key dynamics of designing and curating live events using an innovative, cross-disciplinary approach across various artistic fields. It covers essential topics like budget management and strategies for creating engaging experiences tailored to the target audience.

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT:
The second module of the course focuses on audience and community. It covers the role of community management within live events and teaches techniques to build long-lasting relationships with your audience and community in your territory. In this module, specific case studies will be presented by faculty members.
SUSTAINABILITY & SOCIAL CHANGE:
The music industry is increasingly recognizing the urgent need to address climate change by adopting sustainable practices. Music events are now prioritising sustainability, often making it a core aspect of their identity or intensifying their efforts to drive change. Discover how music events can be crafted to enhance awareness, share best practices, and influence policy. Acquire the skills to design and implement sustainable, eco-friendly projects that support a just and equitable transition.

It examines the evolution of the contemporary curator, particularly the interplay between technology and artistic needs, balancing innovation with authenticity. Explore the curator’s evolving role in preserving the human essence amidst technological advancements, while offering a real augmented experience to the audience.
