We are very happy to announce the opening event of this year’s Linecheck edition, which will take place within the project of experimental electronic music INNER_SPACES.
For the first time ever, Francesco Messina will be performing live, in its entirety and with well renowned musicians, his iconic album Prati Bagnati del Monte Analogo, produced by Franco Battiato in 1979 for the legendary Cramps Records.
Opening act will be globally recognized sound engineer and producer Marta Salogni, who worked with Björk, Depeche Mode, The xx, M.I.A And Bon Iver among others.
She will be playing her latest project Music For Open Space (Hands In The Dark), a physical and spiritual journey between the Joshua Tree desert, the Cornwall coastline and the inward Londoner abode.

Francesco Messina is a musician and graphic designer. As the founder of Polystudio, he worked with various editors and cultural institutions, including the Venice Biennale, for which he was the art director from 1977 to 1982. Throughout his career, he worked for the major music labels in Italy, making music with Franco Battiato for almost four decades. Together they also founded the publishing house L’Ottava, which published both books and records. He also produced over ten albums for Italian singer ‘Alice’, and collaborated with several other Italian artists.
He produced four records under his own name: Prati bagnati del Monte Analogo (Cramps Records, 1979), distributed in the USA by Superior Viaduct; Medio Occidente (PolyGram / Casablanca 1983); he composed the soundtrack to Henri Thomasson’s fable ‘The True Story of Kass Kass’; Il piccolo scoiattolo (CGD, 1982); Devogue, in collaboration with Pino Pinaxa Pischetola (CNI Music, 1997). He has been teaching at the Iuav University in Venice since 2002.
