Marika Lerario

Project Manager / All Areas Access - A mockup for accessible venues (Italy)

Marika Lerario

Marika Lerario, born in Salento (Apulia, Italy), has lived in Spain and is currently based in Rome. Her education is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature, as she graduated in Business Communication with a focus on Organization and Marketing. During her academic journey, she delved into various subjects, including sustainable communication, advocacy, responsible consumption, corporate social responsibility, NGOs, as well as the design and assessment of social innovation. She also explored the environmental and social sustainability of complex systems. Her experimental research, titled "Green-check: Eco-sustainable Design and Communication of Music Festivals in Italy," was conducted in collaboration with the KeepOn Live network and Eco.Reverb. This research examined the current implementation of sustainable practices within the Italian live music industry. Since 2017, Marika has been actively engaged in festival and live concert production, with a focus on sustainability management. She has contributed her expertise to various events and organizations, such as DNA Concerti, Kick Agency, Friends & Partners, Villa Ada Roma Incontra il Mondo, Womad Roma, Ortigia Sound System Festival, Fuck Normality Festival, and more. Since 2019, she has been involved in organizing the Spring Attitude Festival (Rome) and works regularly with MONK Club (Rome). In addition to her work in the music industry, Marika has dedicated many years to volunteer activities with environmental associations such as WWF Italia, RomaNatura, Ass. Driade, and Plastic Free Italia. She is a member of the Italian music industry network Eqauly and the transfeminist movement Non Una Di Meno. Marika currently works as a project manager for AAA - All Area Access, on improving the accessibility of live concerts for the d/Deaf community. She is also an Innovator for the Keychange Programme 2023.
