There's so much great music around! Catalogue is the business model, especially in the streaming era, but also for physical formats. There are plenty of evergreens and cash cows that might benefit from a repolish, alongside hidden gems and underdogs that deserve a second chance—perhaps they were just released in the wrong place at the wrong time. Younger generations may have no idea they exist, and older fans might have missed them back then. Anniversaries, geopolitical events, fashion trends, samples, cover songs, recurring music styles, or just a good marketing idea? What are the best practices for monetizing existing recordings and compositions that benefit everyone financially, but more importantly, strengthen the emotional connection between art and fans?
