To what extent does musical innovation depend on recontextualizing existing elements rather than creating entirely new ones? Hybridizations between musical genres often combine elements that hold a strong historical legacy, and through their union, generate innovative musical patterns. The reinterpretation of these single elements within the current musical ecosystem could also allow the evolution of traditional genres, freeing them from the risk of becoming confined to narrow niches. What strategies can cultural venues employ to promote musical experimentation and contribute both to the evolution and enhancement of music genres? And what spaces and formats are best suited to preserve this cultural heritage while fostering openness to new contemporary interpretations?
