To what extent has physical reality been exiled by digital experience?
In the current music ecosystem and its digital economy, followers and listeners can grow via streaming and social media platforms, almost entirely algorithmically. Once music or content has been released, it's available globally.
This is a major challenge for developing and leftfield artists, or artists targeting a specific domestic market. For many of those artists however the physical product and real life experiences remain the true catalyst for a lasting relationship, and an important piece of the revenue pie.
How can artists, managers and labels use discovery platforms, DSPs and socials’ tools creatively and proactively, to grow audiences digitally and funnel to the physical reality? What management, marketing and distribution strategies can be applied?
Let’s see how the physical reality can be return from its perceived exile by improving its relationship with the digital ecosystem, to feature sustainable careers beyond the global mainstream.
