The deepest echo of the soul finds experimental and solid form in the musical project "INVERNO", created in London by Francesca Rigoni and developed primarily in collaboration with Vincenzo De Fraia (VDF). Influenced by international Electro/Alt-Pop, the project draws inspiration from artists such as FKA Twigs, Sevdaliza, Lykke Li, Rosalía, BANKS, and others. INVERNO captures a moment of pause and reflection in the journey of self-discovery, exploring both the empowering and challenging aspects of mental health and personal awareness.
INVERNO’s sound blends vocal intimacy and vulnerability with powerful, heavily distorted electronic productions. A key milestone in the artist’s career was her participation in X Factor Italia 2022, where she reached the final stage in Ambra Angiolini’s team, with her bootcamp performance garnering over 150,000 views on YouTube.
The upcoming EP “devi stare quiet”, set for release in 2025, marks an artistic evolution, delving into themes like mental health and toxic relationships through dark, melancholic soundscapes and multilingual lyrics in Italian, English, and Portuguese. Drawing from influences such as Rosalía, Sevdaliza, Eartheater, James Blake, FKA Twigs, and Shygirl, the EP features a unique fusion of vocal and instrumental distortions, AI plug-ins, and organic instrumentation including electric guitar and grand piano. The project narrates a personal journey through anxiety and depression, weaving stories of people whose paths cross at the wrong time, yet ultimately find growth and self-love
